Why Sukkot?
As part of our Old Testament studies, LCA is celebrating the biblical feast of Sukkot, also known as the Feast of Tabernacles or Feast of Booths. It’s a time of joy, community, and remembrance—celebrating God’s provision and presence.
This year’s festival will be full of learning, fun, and fellowship for the whole family!
Festival Preparations
The Logic and Rhetoric Houses (Lewis, Nightingale, Ten Boom, Bonhoeffer, Elliot, Graham) will each construct a sukkah by the evening of Friday, October 3rd. Details will be shared with students through their Houses.
Grammar classes will create decorations for the sukkahs during the school day.
Traditionally, families sleep in the tabernacles all week. You are welcome as a family to sleep overnight in a tent or one of the sukkah in the park!
Attached you’ll find a PDF with more background information on Sukkot.
