LCA has rented a beautiful camp on Grand Mesa for a back-to-school family camp August 25th, 26th, and 27th.  Days will be filled with games, outdoor survival training, boating, hiking, campfires, etc. Lodging and all meals will be provided are included in the camping fee.

The camp is on Baron Lake, which is 1.5 hours from New Castle. There are 15 cabins (bathrooms are separate from cabins) with 10 bunk beds in each, as well as a large chapel, dining hall, and recreation hall. There is plenty of room so alumni, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins are all welcome! 

 

Students whose families are unable to attend may join another family who will be responsible for them though out the entirety of the camp. Any families with special or behavioral needs, feel free to contact Renee Miller for lodging arrangements closer to the center of camp. 

 

If you would like to lead a small group in an area of outdoor talent or expertise (astronomy, edible plant foraging, archery, wilderness first-aid, geology, plant & flower identification, animal tracking, handicrafts, etc.) please contact Renee Miller.
